Chalgrove School is fortunate to have extensive grounds. It includes (but is not limited to!) infant playground, junior playground, adventure playground, woods, vegetable garden, playing field, foundation years play area and more green open spaces. Here are pictures of just some of the outdoor areas we have.
The vegetable garden provided a fun way to learn about plants and how they grow and also about a healthy diet. We even used some of the vegetables in our school dinners!
The foundation years have their own fenced off play area equipped with many toys, play-houses and games to encourage inventive play and social interaction. The whole area was revamped in the summer of 2009.
We have a good-sized wooded area, great for exploring and discovering about our environment. You’ll also find a calm shaded reading area in the woods that is great for relaxing in!
