School Priorities 2019 – 2020

 

The Quality of Education

To further develop our wider curriculum by embedding skills and vocabulary across all areas of the curriculum with a focus this year on History and Geography

To develop ways of tracking children’s knowledge and understanding in the wider curriculum- how do we know they know more and remember more

To ensure our most disadvantaged and vulnerable children are targeted to catch up in reading

 

Behaviour and attitudes

To further develop pupil voice across the school

To continue to work with pupils to challenge all forms of bullying

To ensure behaviour for learning is consistent across all times of the day

To develop lunchtime provision to ensure behaviour incidents are rare

 

Personal Development

To develop and embed mindfulness across KS2

To build up children’s resilience and independence through access to forest school

To embed the new PSHE and SRE curriculum across the school

 

Leadership and Management

To develop leaders with less experience so that standards continue to improve across all curriculum areas

To consult with staff on wellbeing and managing workload

 

EYFS

To ensure our most disadvantaged and vulnerable children are being helped to catch up in Early Literacy and communication and language

To ensure high quality teaching of early reading

To ensure high quality provision across all areas of the curriculum

To continue to embed high quality outdoor/active learning in EYFS and Yr1
